Let’s turn to lesser athletes — the National Football League.
Aaron Rodgers’ ongoing Green Bay soap opera has caused some unusual Las Vegas betting numbers.
According to Darren Rovell of The Action Network, here are the five teams getting bet the most to win the Super Bowl at BetMGM sports book.
No. 1…Tom Brady’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers, getting 23% of the money.
No. 2…Patrick Mahomes’ Kansas City Chiefs, getting 12% of the money.
Okay, at No. 4 are the Tennessee Titans, a bit surprising, and at No. 5 are the Indianapolis Colts, also a bit surprising.
But what team is getting the third-most money wagered to win the Super Bowl.
The Denver Broncos. The Broncos?
Nearly 10% of the money is going on the Broncos, because many bettors seem to think that’s where Aaron Rodgers is going to wind up.
I still don’t think so.
I have no inside information, but I do know that Rodgers doesn’t like playing at altitude, he doesn’t like the mountain time zone and he doesn’t like Coors Light.
As I have said on GAMBLING MAD before, I believe he stays in Green Bay.
The Packers’ season win total was off the board for a while.
It’s back on, at 10 ½ or 11. I’d bet OVER, for sure if you get it at 10 ½.
