We go from MLS to MLB.
Major League Baseball has not started yet, and the New York Mets are already 0-3.
In just the first 50 days of 2021….
First the Mets fired general manager Jared Porter on allegations of sexual harassment.
Then former manager Mickey Callaway was accused of harassing female reporters while he was with the Mets.
And now this week, the Mets fired hitting coordinator Ryan Ellis.
According to The Athletic, Ellis made explicit, sexual overtures to three female team employees, who initially reported his behavior to the club in 2018.
Okay, that’s three sexual misconduct cases involving Mets personnel, and pitchers and catchers don’t even report to spring training until this weekend.
Pandemic or not, it appears to me the Mets need to be in a bubble year-round.
