SACK CHANGED

There are bad beats, and then there is what happened to Rob Huntze of St. Louis last Sunday.

He was a millionaire – for about a half-hour.

Huntze, a 41-year-old insurance agent, had scored the most points in a DraftKings contest among 176,000-plus entries. First prize: $1 million.

Then, the official scorer for the Bears-Rams Sunday night game took away a sack credited to the Bears defense – it was a play in which Jarod Goff was tackled for a three-yard loss, and the scorer noticed that Rams wide receivers were blocking downfield, so it appeared to be a running play, not an attempted pass and a sack.

Not good news for Huntze.

With that change, he dropped from first place to a tie for sixth.

He went from a $1 million payday to $3,078.94.

$3,078.94.

That is a lot less than a million – almost $997,000 less.

Fantasy football is such a reality check.

Sorry, Rob.
